SKIN BOOSTER: PROFHILO
Revolution in Skin Rejuvenation
About Skin Booster: Profhilo
Profhilo is an innovative aesthetic medicine treatment based on a unique formula of hyaluronic acid. It is the only formula on the market that combines the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid with a unique stabilization technology, ensuring effective hydration, revitalization and rejuvenation of the skin.
How does Profhilo work?
The Profhilo treatment involves administering precise injections of the preparation into selected areas of the skin, such as the face, neck or cleavage. Hyaluronic acid in Profhilo works in two phases:
-
Moisturizing phase: Hyaluronic acid acts as an effective moisturiser, restoring the skin's elasticity, smoothness and radiance.
-
Stimulating phase: Thanks to the unique structure of the preparation, Profhilo stimulates the skin's regenerative processes, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. The result is improved firmness, density and elasticity of the skin.
Advantages of the treatment
Discover benefits of Profhilo
-
Natural results: Profhilo provides a natural rejuvenating effect without artificiality or "excess" effect.
-
No recovery period: The treatment is almost painless and patients can return to daily activities immediately after the session.
-
Long-lasting effects: After completing the treatment cycle (usually 2 sessions 4 weeks apart), the effects may last up to 6-12 months.
Most patients will experience an overall improvement in the quality of their skin plus increased firmness, elasticity and the main aim is to treat skin laxity. After the two sessions you will see your skin has lifted, is tighter and most importantly more hydrated. When skin is hydrated then it naturally looks more glowing, healthy and youthful. The best bit is there isn’t any real downtime, due to minimal injection points. Profhilo is highly biocompatible, as it's made from natural hyaluronic acid.
Before the Profhilo treatment
What can I do to prepare for my aesthetic treatment?
One week prior to your treatment, avoid taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications eg. Ibuprofen, ginkgo biloba, Vitamin E and fish oil supplements. These may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site. Remember, it’s important to check with your doctor if you have an existing condition that requires you to take blood thinners before you stop taking regular prescribed medication. Adding leafy greens to your diet will boost your vitamin K levels and help to reduce the possibility of bruising and swelling. Arnica supplements have been shown to reduce discomfort, bruising, and swelling from injectable procedures. Arnica pills may be started the day before the treatment and should be continued until any bruising has resolved.
On the day, it’s advisable to avoid working out or going to the gym ahead of your appointment as flushed skin can lead to more bruising due to the amount of blood at the skin's surface.
You should also not consume any alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid increased bruising and swelling.
